MAKE IT PERSONAL
CHICELY helps a bride turn her ideas into a wedding gown that is truly 'her.' Shirley carefully listens and takes notes on what every bride dreams of having in their wedding gown. With that, she creates a one-of-a-kind wedding dress for each bride. Truly unique for each bride and flattering to their figures.
EMBRACE THE ARTISTRY
Each custom wedding gown is skillfully crafted with love and requires hundreds of hours to complete. Shirley will take your measurements, either virtual or in-person, to ensure the best fit. (if it is virtual measurement taking, please have a tape measure, and a person assist. Shirley will guide you through the whole process.)The dress-making process takes 3-6 months as it depending on scheduling and the complexity of the design. Through out the dress-making process, Shirley will keep you informed. If any weight changes, please contact Shirley to ensure the best fit.
TAKE IT HOME
CHICELY offers virtual and in-person fittings to ensure the best fit. You're welcome to invite your bridesmaids' squad to join you. If you are outside of Canada, we provide worldwide shipping. Brides across the world could enjoy our custom design wedding gown.
Custom Dress Design Deposit and Design Fee Policy
Consultation Requests:
- Customers can request a consultation via phone, email, video conference, or face-to-face. Please email us at info@chicely.com, and we will arrange an initial consultation. After that, you'll speak directly with Shirley DeBoer and share your inspirations and ideas. Shirley will keep in touch with you throughout your project with updates and fittings as necessary.
Deposit Requirement:
- A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required when engaging in the design of a custom dress at CHICELY BRIDAL boutique. This deposit will be applied towards the total cost of the dress.
Design Fee:
- If any changes occur on the client's side that result in the cancellation or significant alteration of the custom dress order, a design fee of $350 will be charged. This fee compensates for the designer's time and effort already invested in the project.
Client Responsibility:
- By submitting the deposit, the client acknowledges and agrees to this policy, understanding that the design fee will be charged in the event of cancellation or major changes initiated by the client.
Deposit Application:
The $500 deposit will be deducted from the final price of the dress upon completion.
Ms. DeBoer is the designer and owner/operator behind the CHICELY brand. Ever since she was a child, Shirley was fascinated by all the beautiful dresses that a girl from her neighbour wore. But there was a problem, her family was poor. She always got hand-me-down clothes and sometimes didn’t even have enough food to eat. Finally, when she was 13 years old, her mother saved up enough money to get a dress made for her, which was one of her happiest days.
Her dream was to be a fashion designer one day, so she could make all the beautiful dresses she never had the chance to wear herself and bring joy to her customers’ hearts. She achieved this dream in 2019 when she started up her online brand, CHICELY.com.
As well as making stunning clothes for women, Shirley donates a portion of the profits to disadvantaged children and women, so they don’t have to go through the hunger struggle she experienced.
Ms. DeBoer’s designs range from custom wedding and bridesmaid dresses to formal or everyday wear. Her designs include but are not limited to prom, wedding dresses, evening dresses, office dresses, and casual dresses. Ms. Deboer believes women are to be treasured and loved. Therefore, she is committed to designing dresses to elevate women and bring their hearts joyfully.
